A Bron judge on Thursday upheld the Cuomo administration’s decision  to dump ex-state Sen. Pedro Espada’s Bronx health care network from the  Medicaid program.
The decision could spell the end for Espada’s  Soundview Health Care Network because Medicaid bucks account for some  70% of its funding.

A handful of Bronx home attendant programs are shutting down this month due to changes in New York’s Medicaid system.
Christian Community in Action is folding in response to the changes championed by Gov. Cuomo, and the shutdowns are provoking anxiety among home attendants and their clients.
“I love my job,” said Carmen Ramos, 56, who has worked at Christian Community for 17 years. “It hurts to see the agency close. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

The bake sales are a desperate attempt to sustain  programs and services, from 24-hour security to after-school tutoring,  at Grandparent Family Apartments.
