Throgs Neck residents this week scored a second court victory in their battle over the rocky beach at the end of their narrow street.

Tenants at a Bronx apartment building that had no cooking gas for Thanksgiving and will have none for Christmas are suing the landlord they call “The Grinch.”
More than 30 angry tenants gathered outside 1520 Sheridan Ave. in Mount Eden on Tuesday to protest their treatment by Jonathan Wiener, principal of Chestnut Holdings. The Riverdale-based landlord didn’t respond to requests for comment.

COURT OFFICER SAVES LIFE OF BABY GIRL

A court officer with medical training spun into action to save a baby girl who stopped breathing after a seizure outside the Bronx County courthouse.
“I’m not a hero,” Supreme Court Officer and certified EMT Jose Reyes told the Daily News shortly after the rescue yesterday afternoon. “I’m still shaking.”
Little Emely Carrasco’s father disagreed. “I don’t think words can describe how thankful I am,” said Edwin Carrasco.
